Baby Bump Bowl

In this unique workshop, we will mould clay around your baby bump  to hand-build a one-of-a-kind ceramic bowl. Our friendly team will shape, smooth and personalise your piece with date stamped underneath, creating a lasting reminder of this special chapter.

Once complete, we'll carefully dry, glaze and kiln-fire your bowl, transforming it into a timeless piece to treasure for years to come. Whether displayed in your home, used to hold keepsakes, or gifted to your child in the future, your bump bowl is a beautiful way to capture a moment that passes all too quickly.

Just come as you are and enjoy a calm, creative session designed to celebrate your journey into parenthood. We'll even throw in a hot drink or soft drink of choice so you can sit back and let  us do the work.

Is clay safe during pregnancy?

Yes. We use high-quality, non-toxic pottery clay that is safe to handle during pregnancy.

Working with clay is a gentle, relaxing activity, and many people enjoy it as a mindful way to slow down and connect with their pregnancy. During the workshop, the clay is soft and damp, so there is no harmful clay dust in the air.

To keep the experience safe and comfortable, we recommend:

Washing your hands after handling clay.
Avoiding eating or drinking while working with the clay.
Letting a member of our team know if you need a break or would like extra support getting comfortable.

Your bowl is slow dried, then fired in our kiln after the workshop, so you won't be exposed to any kiln firing or glazing processes.

If you have any specific medical concerns or a high-risk pregnancy, we recommend speaking with your midwife or healthcare professional before booking. We're always happy to adapt the session to help you feel as comfortable as possible.
