Guest Artist Series | Create With Emily Fraser | Three Day Workshop - Create A Statement Vessel | 25th-27th September
Join ceramic artist, Emily Fraser for a three-day immersive workshop exploring the timeless technique of coil building.
Over three days, Emily will share her approach to creating sculptural, handbuilt vessels using simple coils to build expressive forms with character and individuality. Through demonstrations and small group guidance, you will learn how to construct, refine and shape your vessel, embracing the beauty and rythym of slow making.
Whether you are inspired by organic forms or contemporary ceramics, this workshop is an opportunity to develop your handbuilding skills while creating a unique piece to treasure.
Beginning with the foundations of strong coil building, you will explore proportion, balance and silhouette before refining your vessel to reflect your own creative style. By the end of the course you will have created a substantial scupltural vessel that is both functional and expressive.
Each session lasts 4 hours.
You will learn:
- The fundamentals of coil building for larger forms
- How to build strong, balanced vessels
