Nesting bowls l 2h workshop

Nesting bowls l 2h workshop

Make a family of 3 nesting bowls

Beginner/intermediate

In this fun workshop, you will discover the pinching technique. The pinching technique is a fundamental hand-building method where a ball of clay is shaped into a pot by repeatedly pinching and turning the clay between fingers and thumbs. This process thins the clay walls and expands the opening, allowing for the creation of various forms, primarily bowls and cups.

You will be guided step-by-step through the construction, decoration and how to finish your bowls. You will get to create your own forms after having watched the teacher demonstrate the process to you.

You will also be learning about surface decoration and have a chance to define what will “unite” your family of bowls, it might shape, it might be a specific texture which you can achieve through carving, it might be the glaze you will choose for them... The possibilities are endless!

Come and join us for this mindful session!

Good to know:

-short nails are much easier to work with but long pretty nails are not impossible to work around!

-Jewellery off!

-don’t come in your Sunday best, when we play with clay we get mucky!
